Some strong winds over the bank holiday which meant we made some cracking time and stopped off at Lymington where Barry climbed the mast for no particular reason
We made it so Poole in record time, often hitting 8/9 and even 10 knots with the NE wind behind us. And then promptly ran out of Gas with all the shops shut. 20 quid in a taxi and we could then make a cup of tea - expensive tea that.
Some of the poor crew were so tired they needed a little nap...
