Maintenance - refurbished woodwork

So a weekend off from sailing and I refurbished the teak cockpit grill. Fixed a few screws and nailed the loose "planks". So here is the before and after shots of several hours of sanding and painting. It seems a shame to put it back so people can just tread on it now !

Hi Mark,

Your post made me laugh. I'd been thinking the exact same thing about our two old and dull teak grills just this weekend. I was trying to justify not fixing them up because after all...everyone is just going to stomp all over them again. Yours looks great though, so maybe I will...

Can I ask what you painted yours with?

Cheers,
Sam.

Cheap Fence paint from B&Q - nothing special just some stuff I found in the garage - not sure recommend it but looks better for now.

Thanks Mark. I am still eyeing our faded wood...but our list of essential things that need doing is getting bigger not smaller...

Best wishes,
Sam.
